Open position in ICON Foundation

ICON Foundation is looking for a project manager and researcher.

ICON is a non-profit organization in Sesto Fiorentino (Florence, Italy), funded in July 25 2011 by the European Laboratory for Non-linear Spectroscopy (LENS), the Foundation for Research and Innovation and the Italian IBM Foundation. The ICON Foundation's main aim is to work in the field of basic and applied scientific research, of particular importance to society and more specifically in areas such as neuroscience, connettomics, complex physical and social networks in general.

Now it is hiring one person to support its activities. To this end ICON is interested in interviewing people with the following profiles: Project manager (junior and senior) and Researcher (junior and senior), for a contract duration of 1 + 1 year and a net amount of about 1550 euros. The successful candidate will contribute to identify and carry out new projects and programs on Information Technology, contribute to ICON's knowledge management and dissemination, contribute to ICON fund-raising efforts, negotiate and coordinate with ICON partner. The candidate will work in close collaboration with the ICON Program Manager.

Applicants will send their curriculum vitae possibly integrated with relevant titles and documents, together with a copy of a valid identification document via mail to infoiconfoundation.net, by November 30th 2012. Candidates are required to indicate on the mail body in which profile they qualify themselves (junior/senior Project Manager or junior/senior researcher).

An oral interview will take place one day within the period 10-14 December 2012 by the ICON Foundation, via N. Carrara, 1 Sesto Fiorentino. The exact date, time and location of the interview will be notified to the candidates by email and published on the ICON Web site.
