Molecular Quantum Nanophotonics

Organic molecules are special quantum emitters in the solid state. They are nominally identical and can be mass-produced at low cost with tailored optical properties. Thanks to the recent progress in our group, single molecules can also be integrated in functionalized optical chips for quantum sensing and quantum information processing. One of our core businesses is the development of scalable, efficient and effective single photon sources, that are employed in quantum radiometry for the definition of the intensity standard, as deterministic sources in Linear Optical Quantum Computing and in QKD protocols.
